Spanish courses for young people - U20 Program
One of our most popular programs is called U20, Spanish courses for young people from 12 to 20 years old who travel alone. The program includes Spanish classes for teenagers, accommodation in a host family or residence with full board, afternoon activities and supervision by our monitors. You can also hire our airport transfer service on arrival and departure.
In Málaga PLUS we have designed our particular"summer camp" which has been one of the most positive experiences for young people from all over the world for many years. In this program, besides learning Spanish, you will have fun and make friends of different nationalities. It has a minimum duration of 1 week, and only during vacation periods (summer, October and April).
Types of Spanish courses for young learners in Malaga
These Spanish courses for young learners can be 20 or 30 lessons per week. They include all the language skills required for learning Spanish and at any level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In class groups have a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 15.
Standard and intensive courses
✔2 0 or 30 lessons of 45 minutes per week.
✔ Minimum duration of 1 week.
✔ Number of students: 13, maximum 15 students.
✔ Timetable: 9.00 to 12.15 for the standard course and 9.00 to 14:00 for the intensive course.
Summer Camp
✔S panish classes with 20 lessons per week, 1 lesson = 45 minutes.
✔ Groups of 10 students maximum.
✔ Full board accommodation.
✔ Accompanied excursions.
✔S upervision by trained group leaders.
DELE exam preparation
Preparation courses for DELE exams( A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2).
✔S imulations of the official exam with experienced DELE teachers.
Youth Activities
In our program of activities for young people, we combine morning courses with fun and educational afternoons, so that kids can discover the local culture and leisure and enjoy the summer, always accompanied by our adult monitors.
Every two weeks we include 8 afternoon activities: visits to museums, sports activities, cinema, cooking classes, dancing, boat trips in the bay of Malaga, supervised free time afternoon, shopping, tapas etc; and an excursion every Saturday to other cities in Andalusia such as Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, surf course in Tarifa, kayak classes in Nerja, visits to the zoo in Fuengirola or Aqualand in Torremolinos, among others.
Adult supervision
The monitors for the summer camp are specialists in dealing with teenagers and have a preparatory course to learn about all aspects of a minor's language trip. On the first day of class, they have an introductory talk with the children, where they are given written guidelines to follow.
They also establish the schedules they must follow and make sure they respect them. Basically, they become the older siblings of the children, ensuring their integration in the family, in the group of students and in the activities. We make sure that there is at least 1 monitor for every 15 students.
Transfers
Transfers from the airport to the host family's home (round trip) are included in the price of the U20 program. A driver will be waiting for the children at the airport arrivals terminal with a sign where they can read the name of the boy, girl or school. They will arrive at the families' homes in a shared transfer. Transfers are scheduled between 9 A.M. and 7 P.M. so the student should arrive at that time.
Travel time from Malaga airport to the host families, under normal traffic conditions, will be 20 to 30 minutes.

For stays of 2 weeks or more, an excursion to Granada is included!
* Want more activities: book the Intensive Activities Package and you will participate in twice as many excursions and activities such as a visit to the Gibralfaro Castle or a Flamenco class. This package is available at an additional cost of only 90 €.
