Spanish courses for young people
One of our most requested programmes is the “U20”, a course for Young people (12-20) who travel alone. The programme, in addition to classes for teenagers, includes activities, private transport and responsible adult supervision. At Malaga Plus we have designed our own “summer camp” that has been running for many years. It is an enjoyable, enriching experience which has been enjoyed by many young people from all around the world.
On this summer camp, besides learning spanish, you’ll have fun and make friends of many different nationalities. Students stay on the camp for a minimum of one week. Summer camp is only available during Easter and summer holidays.

We combine courses in the mornings with fun and educational activities in the afternoon. Designed especially for young people the programme enables discovery of local culture and leisure activities while always being accompanied by our adult monitors (‘teamers’).
Every 2 weeks booked includes 8 afternoon activities: museum visits, sporting activities, cinema, cookery classes, dance classes, river trips, shopping trips, tapas etc, and a one day trip on a Saturday to another Andalusian city (for example Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba, Ronda) or a surfing course in Tarifa, kayaking classes in Nerja, a visit to the zoo in Fuengirola, a trip to a waterpark in Torremolinos among other options.
Our teamers for the summer camp are specialists in dealing with adolescents and have all taken a preparatory course to learn various aspects of language travel and of being a mentor. On the first day they conduct an introductory chat with the students where they hand out the written guidelines which the students are required to obey, as well as setting the curfews.
Essentially they become the ‘big brothers’ of the students, ensuring their integration into the Málaga PLUS family, they take care of the group of students in and outside of the school, supervise the activities and make sure the students get back home to their host families. We make sure there is at least 1 teamer for every 15 students.
Transfers from the airport to the host family (there and back) are included in the price of the U20 programme. A driver will be waiting for the students in the arrival terminal of the airport with a card stating the name of the student or the school, and will drive the student back to the host family in a shared transfer. Transfers are established between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., so the student must arrive in that time slot.
The duration of the transfer from the airport to the host family depends on traffic conditions and normally takes between 20 and 30 minutes.
