The D.E.L.E. Examination (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera) is the official certificate for Spanish as a foreign language. The exam is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education and organised by the Instituto Cervantes in cooperation with the University of Salamanca.

As a member of the A.E.E.A. (Asociación de Escuelas de Español de Andalucia), Academia Málaga PLUS offers students preparation for the D.E.L.E. examination. Students can get full information at our school office and can make their enrolment for the D.E.L.E. Examination through us. The exam takes place three times a year (May , August and November).

The D.E.L.E. Examination is divided into three levels (initial, intermediate, superior). The period of preparation starts four weeks before the exam takes place and can be booked for the same price as the standard course (4 hours/day) or the intensive course (6 hours/day).

Initial certificate : Equvivalent to course level B (approx. 8 weeks of classes). Knowledge of the present, past and future tenses are required.
Intermediate certificate: Equvivalent to course level C (approx. 12 weeks period of classes). Knowledge of the present, past and future tenses plus subjunctive are required.
Superior certificate: Equvivalent to course level D. This level is designed only for students who have adequate and high knowledge of the Spanish language or who have had at least six or more months of Spanish classes or practical experience in a Spanish speaking country.
